The Super Bowl is over for another year...but as always, there are some very memorable things about the game.
First of all... having brothers coaching against each other was terribly cool. Wonder how the next family holiday will turn out for the boys?
Second...losing power for 34 minutes made for some interesting conspiracy theories. I'm sure it was really scary when it first happened...we hear so much that every place with large crowds and lots of publicity is a potential terrorist target.
Third...understanding most of the women I know would KILL to have a body like Beyonce's...especially so soon after having a baby. A lot of people have complained about her dancing, but that's just what Beyonce DOES when she performs. And...you have to admit, it was LOTS better than the Black Eyed Peas half-time show!
Fourth...seeing a game that was boring in the first half get exciting in the second half! I'm not really a fan of either team...I would have been much happier with the Rams or Bengals there...but it turned out to be a good, down-to-the-wire decision and I like that in ANY sport!
And...fifth...watching the COMMERCIALS...!
Here are my favorites...starting with "God Made A Famer"...and I sure do miss hearing Paul Harvey's voice on the radio. I thank Ram for reminding everyone that GOD made the farmers! That was pretty awesome!:
This one would have been my favorite if the farmer commercial hadn't come along (but with this one we can help name the baby Clydesdale!) I cry every time I watch this one! Budweiser just about ALWAYS has my favorite commerical of the big game day!:
This one really got to me...God Bless Our Military...and Jeep totally rocks...enough said!:
And...this one helped me feel better about turning 50 in 2013...and makes me want lunch right NOW!:
Overall, I was pleased with most of the commericals...but I always like the ones that tug at my heart. I guess I'm just a sap when it comes to some things!
What I did NOT like at all was the GoDaddy.com commerical. It was not really the 'kiss'...but the NOISES that went along with it. Just...YUCK!
I normally have a Super Bowl party and watch all the fun with my friends. This year, I spent part of the game in a hospital room with my grandmother and then watched the rest of it at home with my DVR until I caught up to the live program. And, let me admit...I actually fast-forwarded through most of the first half play action so I could just watch the commericals. Like I said...I'm not really a fan of either team, so commericals and half-time were the best part of the game for me!
