This is my current cover photo on my personal Facebook page, but I thought I'd share it with you guys as I am rushing closer and closer to turning 50 on Saturday! It happens right at midnight...I don't even get a few extra hours to enjoy my 40's once Saturday gets here!
Geesh...where did the last 20 years go? I thought turning 30 was bad! LOL!
Anyway...I'll be recording my show for Friday and for Monday so I can take a long weekend to celebrate with my friends and family AND cry over my lost youth!
Thanks for keeping me company these last few years! Love you guys and gals!

This is me with my friend, Brooke Cary Whitis! She works for the American Cancer Society and she was in the studios with me all day long to raise money for Relay for Life of Pulaski County!
If you know me at all, you know that I like a lot of different types of music. And, one of the things we all know about Classic Rock is that most of the songs have been around for a while.
Sometimes...I just like to hear something new (or newer.)
So...every now and then, I'd like to share some of the newer rock songs that I think you might like, too!
Right now, I'm playing the 2011 "Evanesence" cd to death in my car and this is one of my favorite tracks.
Let me know if you like it, too. The singer, Amy Lee, reminds me a lot of Ann Wilson of Heart...but yet, she has her own style.

I know this feeling so so well! Good thing my couch is really old and needs replacing anyway!
You should see my softside guitar case! It's in shreds!
I decided not to declaw my two young kitties and I am certainly feeling the consequences of it. My former babies, DJ and Laney, had their front claws removed when they were babies and they never torn up anything. And, they never went outside unless they were in carriers or an area where they couldn't escape.
Meanwhile, Gracie and Maggie think everything is THEIRS! But, they aren't allowed outside, either.
I hope I've made the right decision to allow them to keep their front claws. I guess we'll know soon...and I keep buying scratching posts just HOPING they get the hint!

On this date in 1944...a nation was changed...a world was changed...thousands of brave men were changed.
Today...I remember those who gave their lives at Normandy and at every other battlefield where the blood of brave men and women has been shed as they fought to preserve MY freedom and YOUR freedom.

If you know me at all, you know I love HARD, LOUD, PUMPING rock!
But...I also am a lover of 80's music, in general. I have to admit that own every single one of these albums.
How many of them were or ARE still in your collection? Vinyl? Cassette? CD? Digital? I think I have a couple of them in just about every format.
